Mom's 1st Mother's Day

We had such a beautiful Mother's Day. My mother, sister and brother came to Fort Wayne to celebrate my first Mother's Day with Isabelle. Tyler's mother, my mom, sister, brother, Tyler and I and of course Isabelle went the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. Isabelle loved looking at the animals, she loved the giraffes and the prairie dogs. She got to feed the giraffes and wanted to jump in the cage with the prairie dogs. We had amazing weather and enjoyed a picnic after walking and seeing all the animals. We also got interview for the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette about our Mother's Day experience at the zoo. I am so lucky to have an amazing family and of course my beautiful, loving daughter, Isabelle. I am so proud to be her mother.
The front page of the Journal Gazette, monday morning for the Mother's Day article. We are famous now. haha

We walked the whole zoo and she love all the animal and we actually got to hear  the lion roar, It was so cool to hear that.
Tyler and I with our mothers. Happy mothers day to everyone.
Isabelle got to get close to the giraffe. she did know what to think at first she just kept staring at them. We got to feed them and touch them. I was such an amazing experience

My big girl, Isabelle. She was such a good baby all day and loved being outside.

At the zoo them have giant eggs you can sit in and take pictures. This is Isabelle sitting in the egg and being photogenic. She loves getting her picture taken.
We have such a beautiful daughter. I may just say it because she is my daughter but I think she is such a blessing in our lives. Plus you have to admit she is pretty darn cute.
Isabelle kept trying to eat the lettuce to feed the giraffe.

This is the whole bunch. My brother, sister, Karen, Tyler, Isabelle, Mariann and I in front of the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo.

Playtime

This weekend we had a great time. We went up to the lake to stay with my grandpa and grandma Carboni. We had such a great time. I got to sit in the grass for the first time and ride on the ponton. We had great weather for the weekend, and I'm so ready for more fun trips to the lake with my family!

Isabelle's Nursery

I finally took pictures of Isabelle's nursery, only took me about 9 months. I chose to do her nursery in my favorite book as a child, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." I chose that theme before we even new the sex. It was something that no one else had and it was a very gender neutral theme. I have received so many complements on it.

It was hard for me to find a crib mobile with "The Hungry Caterpillar" theme. So instead I purchased the Leaf Canopy by IKEA to put over her crib. She loves it, actually she kept rolling over to look at it when she was suppose to me sleeping. The quilt on her crib was made by my Grandma Turnpaugh, she had made so many things for us as kids and she is amazing at it. The Hungry Caterpillar pillow on her rocker my Grandpa Turnpaugh's wife Judy made for Isabelle, it turned out great also. All the Crib toys I purchased at ericcarlemuseum.org. The have tons of great toys clothes and even fabric. The rocking chair we got from Tyler's mom, Karen his stepfather, Dan and GG Catherine from Walmart.com.
The Caterpillar rocker I purchased at ericcarlemuseum.org also. That place is my addiction. I love going there to see what new toys they have. I can't wait for her 1st birthday to get all of her party supplies from there.
I made this bulletin board for her. The polka dot boarder I purchased from ericcarlemuseum.org. Funny story is that I though it was wall paper boarder so I purchased a lot of it. Now I got to think of more crafts to do with the rest. I used a stencil to spell out her name on scrapbook paper. I also put old picture of Tyler and I when we were young. I also posted a picture of Tyler grandpa Andrews that Isabelle never got to meet.
This dresser used to by my dads when he was young then I got it when I was in high school and painted it neon colors to go with my crazy bright bed room. I got it from my dads and added a few new colors
I made this piggy bank for her also. Walmart had kits with a white bank, paint and the eyes. It wasn't too hard to make just followed picture I had of The Hungry Caterpillar. Now it's time to start filling it for her college fund :)

Gatlinburg 2012

In April of 2012 we took a short family vacations with my Gigi Catherine, Grandma Hill and my great aunt, Alice and great uncle, Jerry to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Dad's cousin Ashley lives there up in the mountain. Then my aunt Elizabeth, uncle and cousins from Georgia to stay in a cabin and catch up and celebrate Gigi's 70th birthday.

Dollywood
One day we took a trip to Dollywood. We rode on the rides and enjoyed the great weather. Isabelle, Karen, Sarah, Ashley, GG Caterine and Elizabeth took in a dancing show. I was such a great day to spend with the family.
                       Aquarium

The Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg was amazing. It was the first time we have taken Isabelle to see fish besides at Grandma Hill house in uncle Bradens fish tank. She was amazed, especially in the underwater tunnel.

Isabelle 6 months photo shoot

Isabelle's 6 month photo shoot was my favorite. She was sitting up at that time and was such a happy baby. Along with doing her 6 month pictures we are did a generation photo with Tyler's dad, Terry and his step mother, Jackie. I was so much fun for all of us. she just loved the attention if you can't tell.

Isabelle's baby shower

We were fortunate enough to have two baby shower. We did that so that my elderly family didn't have to drive far. Isabelle's god mother, Donna, is also big into coupons, so she stocked up on diapers for her and 7 months later we still have not needed to buy diapers yet. Our first baby shower was hosted by Tyler's mom, Karen and grandmother, Catherine. The second baby shower was hosted by my mother, Mariann and my aunt Sue. We had the second shower after Isabelle was born so that people who didn't make it to the hospital when she was born could see her. We did both of the baby showers in the theme "The Hungry Caterpillar." It was a book that my mom always read to us kids and I thought it was a great theme.
