Isabelle's Nursery

I finally took pictures of Isabelle's nursery, only took me about 9 months. I chose to do her nursery in my favorite book as a child, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." I chose that theme before we even new the sex. It was something that no one else had and it was a very gender neutral theme. I have received so many complements on it.

It was hard for me to find a crib mobile with "The Hungry Caterpillar" theme. So instead I purchased the Leaf Canopy by IKEA to put over her crib. She loves it, actually she kept rolling over to look at it when she was suppose to me sleeping. The quilt on her crib was made by my Grandma Turnpaugh, she had made so many things for us as kids and she is amazing at it. The Hungry Caterpillar pillow on her rocker my Grandpa Turnpaugh's wife Judy made for Isabelle, it turned out great also. All the Crib toys I purchased at ericcarlemuseum.org. The have tons of great toys clothes and even fabric. The rocking chair we got from Tyler's mom, Karen his stepfather, Dan and GG Catherine from Walmart.com.
The Caterpillar rocker I purchased at ericcarlemuseum.org also. That place is my addiction. I love going there to see what new toys they have. I can't wait for her 1st birthday to get all of her party supplies from there.
I made this bulletin board for her. The polka dot boarder I purchased from ericcarlemuseum.org. Funny story is that I though it was wall paper boarder so I purchased a lot of it. Now I got to think of more crafts to do with the rest. I used a stencil to spell out her name on scrapbook paper. I also put old picture of Tyler and I when we were young. I also posted a picture of Tyler grandpa Andrews that Isabelle never got to meet.
This dresser used to by my dads when he was young then I got it when I was in high school and painted it neon colors to go with my crazy bright bed room. I got it from my dads and added a few new colors
I made this piggy bank for her also. Walmart had kits with a white bank, paint and the eyes. It wasn't too hard to make just followed picture I had of The Hungry Caterpillar. Now it's time to start filling it for her college fund :)
